Run the following to compile the tscom driver Code cd tscom. That should do it for the tscom driver, now the tscomxp driver used for the calibration tool Code cd. Your touchscreen drivers should now be installed, but that wont do you much good without calibrating it, and you probably wouldnt mind the right click feature as well. So lets compile those apps as well, before rebooting X and testing it out. From the tscom 2. Now compile the calibrate app no configuring to be done Code cd calibrate. Now for the right click button program again, no configuring needed Code cd. Now that you have everything you need install, lets edit the xorg. Code sudo gedit etcxorg. Remove anything you have from previous attempts, and then add the following input device sections Code Section Input. Device. Identifier TSCOMTouchscreen. Driver tscom. Option Device devtty. S1. Option Device. Model TS. Option Screen. No 0. Option Send. Core. Events yes. Section Input. Device. Identifier TSCOMCalibration. Driver tscomxp. End. Section. Note that the Device section should contain the serial port the monitor is connected to. Now add the following to the Server. Layout section Code Input. Device TSCOMTouchscreen Send. Core. Events. Input. Device TSCOMCalibrationAlmost done. Time to calibrate and test all this work. Restart X by pressing ctrlaltbackspace. Log in, and touch the screen, hopefully youll get a response, even if its a bad one. Time to run the calibration program, open a terminal and run the calibrate command Code etcTSCOMtscomcalibrate. Follow the instructions, and touch the 4 crosshairs. If you want to have a right click button on your desktop, run the following command I made a launcher for it Code etcTSCOMtscomrightbutton. Hopefully, that should do it. Hopefully Ill have time to polish this up and post it in a more official format, so let me know if you run into any problems, Id like to sort them out before I post an all inclusive walk through.
